How to request deletion of your data from TechPolaris Social Media Management App

If you want to delete your data from our Social Media Management App, you have three simple options. All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your request.

🔄 Method 1: Disconnect from the App (Fastest & Automatic)

This is the fastest way to delete your data. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the TechPolaris Social Media Management App
    Visit your dashboard at your organization's Odoo instance
  2. Navigate to Settings
    Go to: Social Marketing → Configuration → Social Accounts
  3. Find your Instagram account
    Locate the Instagram account you want to disconnect
  4. Click "Delete" or "Archive"
    Remove the connection to your Instagram account
  5. Confirm deletion
    Confirm that you want to disconnect the account
✓ Done! Your data deletion request has been automatically submitted. All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

✉️ Method 2: Email Request

Send an email with your deletion request:

Email To: privacy@techpolaris.net

Subject: Data Deletion Request - Instagram Account

Include in your email:

  • Your Instagram username (e.g., @yourusername)
  • The email address associated with your account
  • Your organization/company name (if applicable)
  • Confirmation that you want all your data deleted

Response Time:

  • We will acknowledge your request within 24 hours
  • Your data will be deleted within 30 days
  • You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete

🔗 Method 3: Revoke Access from Facebook

You can also delete your data by removing our app's access from your Facebook settings:

  1. Go to Facebook Settings
    Visit: Facebook Settings → Business Integrations
  2. Find "TechPolaris Social Media Management" or your app name
    Look for our app in the list of connected apps
  3. Click "Remove"
    This will revoke our app's access to your Instagram account
  4. Facebook notifies us automatically
    We receive an automatic deletion request from Facebook
ℹ️ Note: When you remove the app from Facebook, we automatically receive a deletion request and will delete your data within 30 days.

📊 What Data Gets Deleted?

When you request data deletion, we will permanently remove:

✓ Account Information
  • Instagram username and account ID
  • Facebook Page information
  • Profile picture
  • Access tokens (encrypted)
✓ Content & Analytics
  • All scheduled posts
  • Post history and metadata
  • Analytics and insights data
  • Comments and engagement data
⚠️ Important: This deletion only affects data stored in the TechPolaris app. Content already published to Instagram will remain on Instagram and must be deleted separately from your Instagram account.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

No. Deleting your data from our app only removes information stored in TechPolaris systems. Posts that were already published to Instagram will remain on your Instagram account. You must delete them separately from Instagram if you wish to remove them.

Yes. After your data is deleted, you can reconnect your Instagram account at any time. However, all previous data (analytics, scheduled posts, etc.) will not be recovered as it will have been permanently deleted.

You will receive a confirmation email at the address associated with your account once the deletion process is complete (within 30 days). If you don't receive confirmation, please contact us at privacy@techpolaris.net.

If you change your mind, contact us immediately at privacy@techpolaris.net. We may be able to cancel the request if the deletion process hasn't been completed yet. However, once deletion is complete, it cannot be reversed.

You need to submit a separate deletion request for each Instagram account. When disconnecting from the app or sending an email, make sure to specify which account(s) you want to delete.
